Welcome to Boulder
Boulder is one of the coolest places in Colorado. I just want to list it because it’s really a place not to miss if you are into the outdoors. Boulder is a great place to base yourself if you are considering climbing Longs Peak, it’s only an hour drive to the trailhead from town. It provides excellent access to all the Front Range 14ers (although Manitou Springs would be a better choice for Pikes Peak). It’s also a great place to train or just have fun.
World famous athletes come to Boulder to train every year because of the altitude, Boulder sits at 5,100 feet above sea level. I believe the most popular hikes around Boulder are Sanitas, Bear Peak, Green Mountain, ask anyone in Boulder and they can tell you right where the trailhead is. Boulder has some of the best rock climbing in the country. From beginner to advanced you won’t have a hard time finding long, short, fun and exciting routes. The mountain biking in boulder is a blast you can make it very easy or very difficult depending on your mood. Any outdoor shop in Boulder should have maps of all the areas in Boulder for hiking, climbing and biking. If you need a day of rest check out the Pearl Street Mall there are so many great stores and restaurants you won’t be able to see it all in one day.
So if you’re around these parts please check out Boulder 'cause it’s cooooooooooooool.
